Mario Mandzukic has been linked with a move to West Ham in January and as expected, there are fans on Twitter who are completely divided by the news. According to the Daily Star, the Irons are interested in snapping up the 33-year-old striker from Juventus but would be more likely to make a loan swoop for him once the transfer window re-opens in 2020. It is understood that West Ham have reservations about Mandzukic’s wage, which is why they would prefer a temporary deal rather than a permanent one. It will make sense if Manuel Pellegrini needs to bolster his striker options in January, but some fans are not convinced that signing up an older player would be a good idea. However those who reckon he would be a good signing, the Croatia international is still someone who has scored goals for fun in his career. He has bagged 188 goals in total throughout his career across spells at Juve, Dinamo Zagreb, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Atletico Madrid and NK Zagreb. It’s not every day that a striker with that record comes along.
