West Brom stand no chance of signing West Ham United loanee Grady Diangana in the summer, according to Claret and Hugh.
The club source claim on their website that the Hammers have not included a release clause in the loan deal, and that doesn’t change even if the Baggies are promoted from the Championship this season.
Claret and Hugh report that West Ham also hold a release clause in the deal which could see the 21-year-old return to the London Stadium as early as January this season.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form under Slaven Bilic this season, featuring six times and being involved in five league goals.
OPINION
West Brom fans will surely be gutted that they won’t be able to see Diangana at the Hawthorns beyond this season. The 21-year-old has started the season very impressively and has helped the Baggies maintain an unbeaten start to the Championship. Diangana has completed two dribbles per game so far this season [WhoScored] and has caused a considerable amount of problems for opposition defences. As well as that, he has also averaged 1.8 shots on goal in each outing, as he consistently makes chances for the Baggies. West Ham will be keeping a close eye on their starlet, and will be hoping the experience of a full campaign behind him will help him come back next season and make an impact in the Premier League. Diangana does hold top-flight experience from last season, but Manuel Pellegrini will not have been able to guarantee the same minutes that Bilic could, and that could be a massive helping hand in his development.
