forward Albian Ajeti has admitted he his itching to get going at the London Stadium and is waiting to be called upon by Manuel Pellegrini.

Ajeti revealed that he has big trust in the manager and that he will do anything to get the chance to earn consistent minutes on the pitch for the Hammers.

The international arrived at the London Stadium in August and has quickly become a fringe player for the Hammers, having not yet made his League debut despite being on the bench in all six games.

The summer signing shared that he and Pellegrini have a good relationship and that he is waiting for the opportunity to arise to impress, whether in the cup or .

“I feel in myself that the coach [Pellegrini] trusts a lot in me and I trust him too, and he knows I’ll do everything to get my minutes on the pitch,” he told the official website.

“The coach knows my qualities and I have big self-confidence and believe I can rise to every challenge.”

“I’m waiting for every game, for the cup games and even in the Premier League. The coach knows it and he can put me in any game he wants.”

It is good to see Ajeti chomping at the bit to get going and make a difference at the London Stadium, but even he will know his role. When arriving in August, the 22-year-old surely wouldn’t have expected a regular first-team spot and will have realised he was there as back-up to record signing Sebastien Haller after the departures of the controversial , and Andy in the summer. Ajeti should more than likely get his opportunity against Oxford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening, and he must do better than he did against Newport County in the second round, where he struggled to make much of an impact. Pellegrini may trust the young Swiss man, but right now, it appears that Haller is set to complete most Premier League games and that his chance may only come to impress in the cup or in an injury crisis in East London.
