West Ham lost 5-0 to Manchester City on Saturday in what was a game to forget for Manuel Pellegrini’s side. The Hammers struggled to show what they were capable of, and it was clear that last season’s Premier League champions were a class above. However, while West Ham fans had enough reasons to be angry after Saturday’s result, many Hammers supporters found another reason to fume after defender Aaron Cresswell spoke after the game. The 29-year-old, who was West Ham captain against Man City, stated in an interview with the Hammers’ official website that his side will “try” to put things right next week against Brighton and highlighted how clinical Pep Guardiola’s side were. Several Hammers below had an issue with Cresswell saying try instead of ‘do’, one claimed he used the wrong words, while other West Ham fans fumed over Cresswell’s comments sounding like the same old thing that is normally published after a defeat. Considering Cresswell made only one tackle in the loss to Man City and averaged a terrible rating of 5.26, (Source: WhoScored), maybe he should have kept quiet like one fan said below.
