OPINION

Browne sealed a permanent move to Middlesbrough from the Hammers earlier in the summer, but it seems he is still keeping an eye on the goings-on at . The 21-year-old had a successful loan spell away at Oxford in his /19 season, he scored nine goals and assisted five in 44 outings for the League One side, but it wasn’t enough to see Manuel Pellegrini keep him at West Ham. The Hammers boss likely checked out Browne when he returned for pre-season and decided he had better options. However, you feel a successful spell out on loan for Diangana, will see him return to the Hammers and potentially play a notable role for the first-team next season. After all the Championship is only one level below , and Diangana is clearly rated by Pellegrini as he utilised him last season. The 21-year-old featured 17 times for the Hammers in the Premier League, averaging a rating of 6.38 across those outings (Source: WhoScored), registering one assist in the process, but clearly, the Hammers boss wants him to play more football this season.
