Middlesbrough playmaker Marcus Browne sent a message to Grady Diangana after he left West Ham on transfer deadline day to join West Bromwich Albion on loan.
The Hammers confirmed on their official website on Thursday that Diangana had joined West Brom for their 2019/20 campaign, and he celebrated joining the Championship outfit on his personal Instagram.
“Delighted to be @wba on a season-long loan, can’t wait to get started!” wrote the 21-year-old.
Diangana celebrating his move to WBA, saw Boro midfielder Browne, send him a four-word message in order to tell him to simply do his thing at the Hawthorns.
“Do ya thing bro,” wrote Browne, on his verified Instagram account.
OPINION
Browne sealed a permanent move to Middlesbrough from the Hammers earlier in the summer, but it seems he is still keeping an eye on the goings-on at the London Stadium. The 21-year-old had a successful loan spell away at Oxford United in his 2018/19 season, he scored nine goals and assisted five in 44 outings for the League One side, but it wasn’t enough to see Manuel Pellegrini keep him at West Ham. The Hammers boss likely checked out Browne when he returned for pre-season and decided he had better options. However, you feel a successful spell out on loan for Diangana, will see him return to the Hammers and potentially play a notable role for the first-team next season. After all the Championship is only one level below the Premier League, and Diangana is clearly rated by Pellegrini as he utilised him last season. The 21-year-old featured 17 times for the Hammers in the Premier League, averaging a rating of 6.38 across those outings (Source: WhoScored), registering one assist in the process, but clearly, the Hammers boss wants him to play more football this season.
