Respected West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee claimed on their personal Twitter account on Wednesday that a deal for Basel striker Albian Ajeti could be completed today. That’s phenomenal news for the east London outfit, and it has delighted the club’s rabid fanbase. Clearly, as you can see below, this is news that has really pleased the Hammers fans, although the one claiming Ajeti is the key to a top four finish might have had his tongue in his cheek just a little bit. The supporter who called the club’s director of football Mario Husillos a genius isn’t actually far off, though. Just look at the calibre of players the Irons have brought in since the Greek was appointed last summer. Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, Pablo Fornals, Sebastien Haller and now Ajeti; these are players of a different calibre to what West Ham were signing before his arrival. This has been a tremendous window for the London Stadium side, as a few different fans have said.
