If the start of the season is anything to go by, Javier Hernandez will have to settle for a back-up role at West Ham United. That should definitely come as no surprise to the Mexican international though, given the fact that the Hammers broke their transfer record on Sebastien Haller. The 31-year-old still remains as second choice though, even after the club also signed Albian Ajeti – something that was proved when Hernandez led the line in Haller’s absence away at Brighton. It was reported by the Daily Mail on Friday that the forward was on the verge of joining Sevilla after handing in a transfer request at the London Stadium. With Hernandez being relatively ineffective so far this season, failing to register a single key pass or complete one dribble according to WhoScored, Manuel Pellegrini could rest easy if he was to sanction an exit. Many West Ham fans took to Twitter to react to the news, and the majority were not bothered by the apparent urge to leave the club from Hernandez, with one even calling him the most overrated player ever.
