Saturday’s first half between West Ham United and Norwich City was another example of the rejuvenation of Hammers left back Arthur Masuaku. The DR Congo international, once much-maligned as arguably the biggest flop in the West Ham squad, has been reborn under manager Manuel Pellegrini over the past six months or so. He really has come on leaps and bounds and has firmly established himself as the number one left back at the London Stadium ahead of England international Aaron Cresswell. We saw how dynamic an attacking threat he can be on Saturday, as he provided the assist with some terrific play for striker Sebastien Haller’s third goal in two games, which put Pellegrini’s team ahead against the Canaries. The 25-year-old powered past two Norwich players with ease, before finding Haller in the centre with a peach of a ball. He put it on a plate for the Frenchman. It was tremendous from Masuaku, and demonstrated why the West Ham fans are starting to come round on him.
