West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has insisted he has no problems with Jack Wilshere seeing a private physiotherapist, according to Claret and Hugh.

The club source revealed that the Chilean just wants the former Arsenal man to remain fully fit after consecutive seasons riddled with injury concerns.

The Hammers’ boss confirmed after the draw with Brighton that Wilshere was only substituted as a safety precaution, and is in contention to start once more against Watford.

Wilshere is yet to complete a full 90 minutes after back-to-starts in the top-flight as he fills in for captain Mark Noble, and was reported by the Daily Mail to be having private sessions with physio Declan Lynch.

OPINION

Pellegrini is right to have no concerns over Wilshere, who is only proving his determination to want to nail down a spot in the West Ham side. The Chilean insisted all he wants is a fully fit player – something that could see the midfielder reproduce his best form from his time at Arsenal. The 27-year-old has struggled to affect games in an attacking sense in his holding role so far and has yet to register a single shot or key pass, as well as not yet completing a dribble [WhoScored]. Wilshere has however managed to dictate play well once in possession, completing an average of 17 passes per game at a success rate of 88.2%, something that will no doubt please Pellegrini. Everyone at West Ham will be wary to protect Wilshere, who has been plagued with injuries during his time at East London – missing 30 games in the past 11 months according to Transfermarkt.
