West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini is set to sign a new five-year deal the club, according to Claret and Hugh.
The club source revealed on their website that the Argentinian international is expected to sign the new contract in the next few days.
Claret and Hugh have reported that Lanzini would become one of the Hammers’ highest earners when putting pen-to-paper on the new deal after months of talks.
It is suggested that West Ham are entirely certain that a deal is in the bag for Lanzini, who is “likely” to finish his career at the London Stadium with Hammers.

This will be the news that all West Ham fans have been waiting for in the past few weeks after the transfer window. After Lanzini’s injury at the end of last season, the reemergence of the Argentinian playmaker would have felt like a new signing to Manuel Pellegrini. With West Ham only having an option for a two-year extension on his current deal, it would be amazing should they have convinced him to stay on for an extra five years. The Hammers have been clearly determined to secure the 26-year-old to a new contract, and they look to have sealed the deal if this report is anything to go by. Lanzini is only of only five players to have started all three games so far and has excelled in behind target man Sebastien Haller. The playmaker has averaged 3.5 key passes per game according to WhoScored – the most in the Hammers’ squad as he continues to create chances for his side, and if he continues that sort of form, any deal that could make him one of the top-earners will be more than worth it.
