AC Milan ace Rafael Leao has taken to Instagram to send a message to West Ham winger Mesaque Dju.
The 20-year-old Hammer posted a photo of himself on crutches to his personal Instagram with the caption which translated from Portuguese as: “It is often very difficult to look up…
“But since I was a child I have always learned to fight and trust God so I look up and ask you to look at me and mine.
“It’s just another challenge… I’ll be back stronger!!!”
Commenting on that post Leao, who joined the Italian giants from Lille over the summer, said: “Only God knows, brother”.
OPINION
Whatever Dju has done, you just hope that it isn’t too serious. The youngster is a very promising talent, so much so that he was long listed for the prestigious Golden Boy award earlier this summer, and the hope will have been that he could really kick on and start knocking on the door of the first team some time this season. Obviously there is no definite prognosis on what he has done, but certainly, a leg brace and crutches is never the greatest sign for a player. The only silver lining to this is that Dju is still young enough to come back from a serious injury stronger. He may be sidelined for some time, but that’s not to say that he can’t use his rehabilitation process to grow and develop physically and mentally. It sounds as if he is taking a fairly optimistic view of things, which is always a good sign, and as long as he keeps a positive outlook and his eyes on the prize, then he should be fine.
