West Ham have been offered the chance to sign Moussa Marega by Porto, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster claim that the Porto forward has a €30m (£26.9million) release clause and wants a move to the Premier League.
Sky Sports report that West Ham were in talks with Porto regarding Marega last summer and that they are currently working hard to sign forwards.
OPINION
If the Hammers have been offered the chance to sign Marega, surely they should seize the opportunity with both hands? The Hammers have already seen Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll leave this summer and this means they’re drastically short of attacking options. Given that it’s Porto who have called them, then the Portuguese giants clearly are open to getting a deal done for Marega and that means the Hammers could solve their forward issue quickly. The 28-year-old attacker would be the ideal forward for the Hammers to sign, as his goal record during the 2018/19 campaign speaks for its self. Marega scored 11 goals, registered seven assists and even managed to pick up two Man of the Match awards during his 29 league outings for Porto last season (Source: WhoScored). The forward also averaged an impressive 3.2 shots per game in his league outings, so surely that shows what an attacking threat he could be for the Hammers if recruited?
