Alan Brazil raved about West Ham signing Sebastien Haller and claimed he was excited by the Hammers ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The talkSPORT host claimed that the Hammers had got themselves a bargain by signing the 25-year-old forward for £45million, according to BBC Sport, as he sounds like a good player.
Brazil pointed out that Haller looked like a physical player which would help him settle in the Premier League.
“West Ham boys, I think you’ve got a bargain there, simple as that,” said Brazil on talkSPORT (8:35 am, Thursday, July 18th).
“Sounds a good player, looks physical so that’ll help in the Premier League, so West Ham, I’m quite excited by West Ham, to be honest with you.”
OPINION
Bargain? You don’t often hear about £45million bargains but if he fires the Hammers to glory in the upcoming campaign, no one will argue with Brazil. Haller scored 20 goals while assisting 12, in the 41 appearances he made for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, and if he can translate that form to his first season at the London Stadium, he’ll be a hit. The 25-year-old averaged 1.9 shots per game across his league outings last season and more impressively won 6.9 of his aerial duels per game (Source: WhoScored). This not only shows that Haller could be a formidable threat going forward, but shows how he may be able to hold the ball up for his Hammers teammates to join the attack if the club opt to play it long rather than out from the back. While Brazil will likely be mocked for calling Haller a bargain at this stage, he may look like a genius come next summer.
