West Ham’s summer of transfers doesn’t look like it’s grinding to a stop anytime soon. After the departures of senior forward options in Andy Carroll, Lucas Perez, and Marko Arnautovic, Manuel Pellegrini was searching for replacements. The club record transfer of Sebastien Haller has been confirmed, with the Chilean reportedly still eager to add another forward. The Daily Star has suggested that the Hammers are interested in Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos. Reliable club source, Claret and Hugh reported that Morelos could be available for as little as £5million this summer, something that should more than tempt Pellegrini to make a move. The fiery Colombian would be a great move for the Hammers, especially at that price. The 23-year-old scored 30 and assisted a further 11 goals in all competitions last season – averaging either a goal or assist every 90 minutes at the Gers [Transfermarkt]. At that reported price Morelos would be a bargain, with many West Ham fans taking to Twitter to agree with the fact that if he was available on the cheap they would go for it, despite their concerns over his attitude. One fan even said: “100% we love a hot head!” However, others showed they were still torn over the idea of signing Morelos due to his attitude as one said “No thanks.”
