West Ham are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller for £36million and understandably, many fans on Twitter are drooling over the news. Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira revealed via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon that Haller, 25, is set to sign a five-year deal with the Irons after the London club agreed a fee with Frankfurt. Haller would be a superb signing for West Ham as the French centre-forward was in great form last season. He scored 20 goals and supplied 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga club last term, helping them finish sixth in the league and reach the Europa League semi-finals. While Luka Jovic took most of the praise at Frankfurt in 2018/19, Haller is someone who went a little more under the radar. The tall Frenchman is great in the air, can hold up the ball and as one West Ham fan points out, he would suit Manuel Pellegrini’s style of play. Hopefully this news is true because fans have every right to be excited by it.
