There have been no official bids for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos amid West Ham’s reported interest, according to managing director Stewart Robertson.
West Ham were reported by the Daily Star to have been searching for a cut-price deal, suggested to be in the range of £10million for the Colombian international.
Gers’ managing director Robertson denied those reports.
“Listen, we’ll see what happens,” he told the Daily Record. “There’s been no bids for Alfredo so far. He’s started the season well with four goals in two games.”
Morelos was also reported by the Daily Record to have attracted interest from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt this summer after the German side parted ways with Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller, who joined the Hammers for a club-record fee.

Rangers will no doubt want to keep ahold of their marquee forward, with the 23-year-old having been in great touch in front of goal since arriving at Ibrox. The 23-year-old Light Blue’s forward was in phenomenal form last season, scoring 30 goals and assisting a further 11 for his teammates in his 48 appearances. With that form, it comes as no surprise that Manuel Pellegrini and West Ham have reportedly set their sights on the fiery forward – and Rangers must accept that if the Hammers were to place an offer, Morelos would surely want to make the move to the Premier League. The Colombian would no doubt be tempted, and he could replace someone such as Javier Hernandez with ease having scored the more league goals last season as the Mexican has managed in the previous three seasons at both West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen (26). Despite Robertson’s statement, he does admit even he doesn’t know what could happen and the fact he starts with “let’s see what happens” might just prove that he is realistic to the fact that should a club like West Ham makes a move, he could be powerless to stop them.
