Monday will go down as one of the better days in the window for West Ham. finally left the Hammers to move to China after falling out of favour with his teammates. The mood was summed up in West Ham’s official statement where they only released two sentences to announce his departure. Just like Dimitri , the club acted quickly to get rid of the troublesome Austrian. This was definitely the best result for the club, who needed to take action before some of their players take advantage of the situation unfolding before their eyes. Arnautovic led the line poorly last season and continually swapped between the Austrian and Michael Antonio. Arnautovic only won an average of 0.8 aerial battles per game last season, a stat that just isn’t good enough. Many saw this as a dig at Arnautovic, with Hammers’ fans praising their club for moving on so quickly.
