Javier Hernandez is not interested in a move to the MLS this summer, and is set to stay at West Ham beyond the current transfer window, according to ESPN.
The £140,000-a-week ace [Spotrac] has been linked with a move away from east London in recent times, with a host of MLS clubs touted as potential destinations, as well as Brazilian side Flamengo and Fiorentina.
But the report suggests that following the birth of his daughter, Hernandez wishes to extend his stay in Europe by at least three seasons.

This is probably very good news for West Ham, truth be told. The Hammers can ill-afford to lose another striking option this summer, and as the transfer deadline begins to loom large, the prospect of losing a first team talent like Hernandez must be one that was somewhat daunting. By the sounds of it, however, the Mexican is happy to stay put, and that can only be a positive thing for the Irons. He may not have been at his best last season, but he still managed a respectable 1.2 shots on target per 90 minutes and an average of 1.7 shots on goal per 90 from inside the penalty area [Whoscored]. Hernandez is never going to run the channels or win battling headers, but he is good at what he does, and what he does is poach goals. Alongside another more versatile forward, he can still offer a lot for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
