With West Ham’s priority being to bring a forward into the club, it comes as no surprise to see Mario Husillos working overtime across Europe. The Hammers are continuing to be linked with a number of strikers as each day passes, with Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez proving popular at the London Stadium. Another striker that has been linked with the club is Moussa Marega, with A Bola reporting on Saturday that the Mali international has revealed his wish to move away from Porto this summer, with the Hammers his likely destination – should they cough up a £31million fee. The 28-year-old would offer great physicality as a lone striker, and nearly averages two aerial successes per game (1.9). The negative of his game would be when the ball is on the floor, with the Porto man averaging 3.1 moments of bad control per outing. [WhoScored] Many West Ham fans weren’t overly pleased with the news and reacted to the news on Twitter. One fan went as far as to compare Marega to Andy Carroll when saying, “Who knows how he converts to the prem, reminds me of a more talented Andy Carroll.”
