Pablo Fornals has not wasted any time in impressing West Ham fans on Twitter with his recent displays for Spain’s Under-21s at the European Championships in Italy. The 23-year-old impressed supporters in the 3-1 loss to Italy’s Under-21s on Sunday and he blew them away once again on Wednesday when he scored a last-gasp winner against Belgium. Fornals scored with a wonderful effort from the edge of the penalty area but questions have to be asked of the Belgium defenders, who just failed to close down West Ham’s £24million signing and let him run towards them before unleashing a shot at goal. Either way, the woeful Belgium defence is not going to quell the excitement of the Hammers faithful – and why should it? Fornals has shown glimpses of being a great prospect for West Ham and fans are lucky that Manuel Pellegrini snapped up the Spanish midfielder from Villarreal in this transfer window.
