Declan Rice will reject any offer of a move away from West Ham United this summer, according to Football Insider.

The reputable football outlet claims that the 20-year-old will stay put at the London Stadium amid reports linking Rice with a move to top-four Premier League sides.

Football Insider report that the England international has attracted interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United, but will instead commit to another season at the Hammers.

His impressive campaign was topped off with international recognition, finishing the season with his third cap under Gareth Southgate.

OPINION

This will be the best piece of news possible for everyone involved at West Ham. There are always two sides to every story, the emergence of Rice under Pellegrini has been one of the standout moments in the previous couple of years at the London Stadium. The negative side of that is the obvious attention he will start to gain after two consistent seasons in the heart of midfield. At only 20-years-old, Rice has quickly emerged as one of England’s most impressive starlets, and there is no surprise that he has quickly gathered the attention of some of the top Premier League sides. With Mario Husillos making big moves in the transfer window with the likes of Pablo Fornals arriving at the club, keeping their brightest talents will only enhance their chances of European qualification in years to come. Pellegrini will be delighted with the news and will plan to keep Rice as a mainstay in his side. Another year is obviously a positive on the pitch for West Ham, but they will also be given the added chance that his value could rise even more with another consistent year as a holding midfield option. Either way, this is a win-win for the Hammers.
