Carlton Cole has taken to social media to send a message to West Ham goalkeeper Nathan Trott after the player posted a ‘save of the season’ video on his Instagram.

The 20-year old won West Ham’s save of the season award for the 2018/19, and posted the video of the save on to his personal Instagram account.

Cole seemed to appreciate the save just as much as the rest of the Hammers fans, and gave a two-word response to the video from his personal Instagram account.

“Yes Trotty.” said the former Hammers man.

OPINION

It’s clear to see that although Cole may not still play for West Ham, he is still a Hammer. There always seems to be something nice about a former player showing his praise for someone from the younger generation, and this is exactly the case here. The save from Trott is an absolute stunner, and it seems that for former Hammers striker completely agrees. It seems that Trott could be a name which may be up and coming over the next few seasons at the London Stadium, and the goalkeeper could potentially be making the step up to the first team after impressing in the Premier League 2 this season. It seems like if this were to be the case, he would certainly have the backing of Cole to make the step up, along with the rest of his West Ham teammates. There will no doubt be lots more to come from Trott in the coming seasons, and if his Instagram video is anything to go by, then Hammers’ fans should be excited.
