Juventus attacker Juan Cuadrado has no interest in joining West Ham, according to Sky Sports.

The broadcaster claims that the Colombian international is keen on remaining in Turin, having won four Serie A titles with the Old Lady, to go along with a Premier League triumph from his Chelsea days.

Italian outlet Tuttosport revealed last week that the Hammers were one of the teams interested in making a move for the 30-year-old.

However, if Cuadrado does end up leaving Juve then he is said to want a move to one of Europe’s other top teams, rather than a side like West Ham.

OPINION

This is a shame from a West Ham perspective, because Cuadrado would have been an excellent signing for the club going into next season. Obviously you never know and it could still happen in theory, but it doesn’t seem as if there’s much chance of the Colombian ending up at the London Stadium now. He was always an ambitious target for the Hammers, coming from a side like Juventus. Cuadrado probably isn’t a priority for the Italian giants moving forward due to his age and the accommodation of stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, and so he could well be on the move this summer. Clearly he wants a switch to another big team, though, with teams like Paris Saint-Germain or Atletico Madrid seeming like logical destinations for him. It’s hard to ascertain why he would want to return to England, anyway, given how disastrously his time with Chelsea went, so don’t expect him to be lining up in claret and blue anytime soon.
