Chelsea defeated West Ham 2-0 on Monday and several Hammers players didn’t give their side the best chance of getting a positive result. One of the players who wasn’t at the races for Manuel Pellegrini’s side against the Blues was Mark Noble. The Hammers midfielder, who earns £50,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac), was clearly caught out for Eden Hazard’s opening goal of the game and he just seem to let the Chelsea playmaker glide past him. This moment was actually a source of a lot of the anger from Hammers fans, as one even suggested that they were now aware that Noble had Hazard in his Fantasy Football team. It’s fair to say the veteran midfielder is capable of better performances but it was no surprise to see him struggle against the Blues. Noble has been caught out a few times this season and exposed as a liability due to his lack of pace, so it’s no wonder that a player such as Hazard was able to run rings around him. However the midfielder has also shown this season, he can rebound from bad performances, so Hammers fans should hope that’s the case once again.
