Former Hammer Ravel Morrison has spoken out to praise the performance of West Ham captain Mark Noble in the win over Tottenham.

After a star performance from the veteran midfielder, who helped his side see off Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 away from home on Saturday, Morrison took to social media to express his views on the performance.

“@Noble16Mark best player on the pitch today Bro,” said Morrison, via his personal Twitter account.

“Quality, congrats on the win.”

OPINION

In what was an unbelievable performance from the West Ham team, it was the veteran captain who stood out as one of the main performers of the fixture. Although it was Michail Antonio who broke the deadlock, effectively winning the game for Pellegrini’s men, it was Noble who earned the praise of ex-Hammer Ravel Morrison. Noble has been a key figure in recent years for West Ham, and showed his class once again yesterday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as his side won the London derby. The 31-year old managed to keep the Spurs’ midfield quiet for the majority of the game, which certainly seemed a difficulty task ahead of kick-off. West Ham have now become the first away side to win, or even score at Spurs’ new stadium, and will be looking to continue their run into the back end of the season in the best form possible.  The Hammers have had a inconsistent campaign but if they could end on a high, it would do them the world of good.
