COMMENTARY

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that talkSPORT broadcaster Ian Abrahams is a West Ham fan as he does make some odd comments. For some reason on Tuesday, the reporter decided to suggest three possible options, via his Twitter, to succeed Manuel Pellegrini as Hammers boss, and it’s fair to say his suggestion ended up being torn apart by many West Ham supporters. Abrahams, also known as Moose, nominated Eddie Howe, Chris Wilder and the Colwey brothers as being capable options to look at when considering who should be the next Hammers manager. While Hammers fans didn’t comment on his individual selections, they generally didn’t like the suggestion that Pellegrini could soon be gone. One claimed it was pathetic to discuss the next Hammers manager while one claimed it was terrible journalism. Abrahams did go on to make clear he wasn’t trying to oust Pellegrini anytime soon, but it’s easy to see why he triggered several supporters with his tweet. The reporter made the tweet after yet another disappointing result and you would think that Abrahams wouldn’t talk about the Hammers’ manager job if Pellegrini had just beaten Chelsea instead.
