Son Heung-min will cause problems for Pellegrini on Saturday

Son Heung-min has been on fire in recent weeks for Tottenham Hotspur, and Pellegrini’s men will have the troubled task of keeping him quiet on Saturday.

The South Korean winger has registered 12 goals and seven assists in 29 league appearances so far this season, and has shown recently exactly why he is Spurs’ new danger man after Harry Kane’s injury.

Son scored twice in Spurs’ Champions League tie with Manchester City last week, as the North London club qualified for the semi-finals of the competition.

On Saturday, Pellegrini’s men will have to be defensively compact, and direct their focus on the winger if they want to get anything from the game.

Since the injury of Harry Kane, Son has been one of the leading goal threats for Spurs in the Premier League, and he will be looking to add to his goal tally as the Hammers travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time.

West Ham have conceded two goals in each of their last six games, so Pellegrini will certainly be looking to tighten up the Hammers defence ahead of facing the Spurs front men.

Son will also be feeling fresh ahead of West Ham’s visit to North London, after not playing the full 90 minutes in Spurs’ Premier League victory over Brighton.

If Son has his shooting boots on, which more often than not he does, then the Hammers defence will be dealing with one of the most clinical finishers in the league this season.

There could possibly be a shake up in West Ham’s defensive line ahead of Saturdays fixture, after their record for conceding goals has taken a hit in recent months.
