OPINION
West Ham United attacker Marko Arnautovic looked back to his lively self in the first half of his team’s clash with Leicester City on Saturday. The 30-year-old was a constant menace to the visitors at the London Stadium and was involved in a lot of good moments for the Hammers during the first 45 minutes. He should have got an assist when he did really well to play a nice ball in for Michail Antonio, only for the winger to spurn the opportunity. However, the former Nottingham Forest man would make up for that error with a goal late in the opening period. But it was Arnautovic’s form which has really delighted the West Ham faithful. We hadn’t seen him play with this sort of effort and intensity for a long time – since his failed January move to China really. When he plays like this he makes everyone better and we saw that with the performances of the likes of Robert Snodgrass and Mark Noble. Hopefully he can keep it up in the second half and help lead his team to victory.
