West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has a completely flawless season for the Hammers, and when he earns the England start that he deserves, he makes a complete mess of it. To be honest, it is hard to remember when Rice had such a “shocker” like this one. He is largely at blame for the first goal scored by Montenegro in this 5-1 win due him ball watching, and overall, he just looked a bit lost, just as one of these international supporters have pointed out. Perhaps Gareth Southgate starting him at such a tough place to play was not the best idea he has had recently? Either way, it is not surprising that these fans have slammed the 20-year-old left, right and centre here. If he wants to continue getting England call ups, then he needs to impress the manager a lot more than this – but that being said, it was his full debut.
