COMMENTARY
When Samir Nasri joined West Ham on a short term deal in January it was always clear that he would be playing for a future at the London Stadium, having been out of action for a significant spell due to his doping violation. However, six appearances for the 31-year-old is not a lot for Manuel Pellegrini to go on and it seems as though the Frenchman will miss out on another opportunity to prove his worth with this weekend’s clash against Everton. The Irons boss has revealed to the club’s official website that the former Arsenal and Manchester City man is a doubt with an injury problem and considering this is not the first time he has been laid off during his short spell at the club, the fans’ fears on Twitter are well warranted. He has got a long way to go to proving he is worthy of remaining part of the squad past the summer and these constant niggles are not going to do his cause one bit of good. As some say, it could be that his body is still recovering from his spell out of the game but there is also the worry that he is just an injury prone player now.
Forever West Ham has picked out a number of tweets from the Hammers faithful:
As an already injury prone player being out for 18 months and immediately start playing again is always going to be difficult. Hopefully next season he'll begin to stop picking up these niggles

Are You Carroll? Are You Carroll? ARE YOU CARROLL IN DISGUISE? Are You Carroll In Disguise? Well I flipping hope not 🤞🏾

I hope the niggles injuries nasri is picking up are as a result of him being banned for 18 months & not the start of him being constantly injured. We have had enough of signing injured players in recent times we don’t want any more!

He has missed more games than Carroll since signing.

This is why we can't keep Nasri. Injury prone

I like Nasri, but am starting to think we could do without another injury prone player on our books & this is what he seems to be. Thoughts @hammers_chat…?
