West Ham United midfielder Samir Nasri certainly made a difference in his team’s stunning come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Huddersfield Town on Saturday. The Hammers looked dead and buried when the Frenchman entered the fray, having produced a performance as bad as any they’ve come up with this season for much of the game at the London Stadium. The former Manchester City man was the catalyst for West Ham’s comeback, producing a beautiful cross for Javier Hernandez to fire home the equaliser, before the Mexican went on to steal the game for the hosts. He couldn’t have done that, though, without the creativity and the drive that Nasri brought to the team. Manuel Pellegrini’s side were woeful on Saturday, let’s not get that mixed up, but the Chilean could turn to some highly effective substitutes to get the job done. Simply put, Nasri has to start in the first game back after the international break.
