West Ham United will allow forgotten man Jordan Hugill to leave the club in the summer if they receive the right offer, according to Football London.

The outlet claims that the 26-year-old, who has made just three appearances for the Hammers since joining for £7million from Preston North End in January 2018, isn’t long for the London Stadium.

He is thought to have no future under manager Manuel Pellegrini and therefore his destiny will be decided by whether any interested party submits a suitable offer.

First team stars Pedro Obiang and Michail Antonio could also depart as the Chilean looks to upgrade his squad this summer.

OPINION

This is pretty much what every West Ham fan expects when it comes to Hugill this summer. He is a decent Championship striker but we’ve seen nothing to suggest that he’d be able to make the step up to the top flight. He wasn’t trusted by David Moyes in the back end of last season and he was quickly shipped out of town by Pellegrini as well. His time at the club has surely been hugely frustrating for him, and so a fresh start would be in everyone’s best interest. It seems unlikely that loan club Middlesbrough will make a play for him, with his seven goals this term doing nothing to blow anyone’s hair back at the Riverside. However, some other second tier side will likely come in for him. Put Hugill in the right Championship set up and he will probably flourish. One thing is clear, though, he doesn’t have a future in East London.
