It seems to be becoming a regular occurrence to see West Ham fans slating Angelo Ogbonna after games, with the Italy international having fallen far down in many people’s estimations with his performances over the past year or so. It was no different on Saturday after the Hammers fell to a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, with Ogbonna attracting some heavy criticism on Twitter for his display. Admittedly the veteran centre-back did not have his best outing, with the Bournemouth attack having a bit of a field day at times, but there were actually very few West Ham players who emerged with much credit. It was a pretty insipid performance from Manuel Pellegrini’s side, who have been enjoying a really positive few weeks of late. Hopefully they can get back to winning ways in the FA Cup against AFC Wimbledon before another tough away clash against Wolves after that.
