A West Ham insider has insisted there is no need for fans to panic over reports that Valencia have agreed personal terms with striker Javier Hernandez.

ExWHUemployee, who is an established source for exclusive Hammers news, responded to fans on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday by urging calm regarding the situation.

He also posted a separate tweet reporting that he was under the impression that there is no truth in the rumours linking the Mexico international to the La Liga side.

According to Sky Italy [13:31], Hernandez has agreed personal terms with Valencia and is keen on the move to get more regular first-team minutes.

OPINION

There have been reports swirling about an exit for Hernandez in January for several weeks now, with Valencia quite clearly being one of the interested parties. West Ham will obviously be keen to hang on to Hernandez, even if he has not been as effective as they expected, with the 30-year-old still being a player of high quality with vast experience in the Premier League. Their desire to keep hold of him will be even stronger at the moment due to the uncertainty surrounding fellow forward Marko Arnautovic, who looks like he could be off to China. It will be hard enough for the Hammers to replace Arnautovic this month, and they will be totally against having to search for two new strikers by letting Hernandez leave. ExWHUemployee is about as reliable as you can get with regards to club insiders, and fans must trust his judgement on this one. Obviously things could change, but at the moment there is no need to panic.
