West Ham have a proposal on the table for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to Globoesporte.
The football news outlet claim that the Hammers wish to take the 22-year-old on loan and that their offer to borrow his services is the most attractive one on the table as it stands.
Globoesporte report that Pereira is willing to take a pay cut on his current Manchester United salary in order to move to a club that would help boost his chances of getting into Brazil’s 2022 World Cup squad.
It is believed that the player’s agents are talking to several clubs in order to find an interesting opportunity for their client.
The Daily Mirror previously reported that the Hammers were looking to take Pereira on loan with the Brazilian international keen to be playing regularly at a club.

Pereira would be a fantastic option for the Hammers to pursue and there’s potential to make a loan move permanent if he excels at the London Stadium. According to the Daily Mirror’s report, Man United can extend the midfielder’s current contract by a year to see it end in 2020 rather than this summer, but that’s still not a tremendous amount of time left to have on a player’s deal. It’s easy to imagine that Manchester United may still be willing to cash in on Pereira regardless of whether he does well at the Hammers or not, as they may fear getting no fee for him if they opt to keep on to him. They will have this fear as the player hasn’t exactly jumped at the chance to sign new deal nor is it clear whether Man United would want to even bother offering him a new contract, given that he barely features for the club currently. Pereira has only made six appearances this season but after the sacking of Jose Mourinho, maybe that scenario is set to change.
