West Ham are in talks with Inter Milan over signing Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa, according to Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The reliable reporter claimed via his official website that discussions between the Italian giants and the Hammers had already begun about the South American forward and were going to continue in a positive manner.
Di Marzio stated that the Premier League side were in pole position in the race for Barbosa, better known as Gabigol, with him set to leave Inter Milan.

Inter Milan nearly progressed in their Champions League group this season before experiencing heartbreak in their last game and news of them being actively discussing Gabigol’s exit will cheers fans up. While the prolific forward has been in tremendous form this season, he has being wowing out on loan for Brazilian side Santos rather than Milan. Gabigol has scored an impressive 18 goals in 35 league outings for the Brazilian giants this season and looks lethal in front of goal for them. The 22-year-old struggled to make an impact at Milan, hence why fans will be probably be cheery over his possible exit, as he managed only 10 appearances before being shipped out on loan. For whatever reason Gabigol seemed uncomfortable in Italy and perhaps a move to the Premier League would work out better for him. Given the player’s impressive goalscoring record this season, if the Hammers can get his signature it will cost them a pretty penny.
