BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton has praised West Ham United midfielders Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass for their goals in the team’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Hammers came from behind to defeat Roy Hodgson’s side at the London Stadium in large part thanks to the efforts of Messrs Anderson and Snodgrass. Javier Hernandez scored the side’s other goal.

Snodgrass curled a stunning effort in from around 20 yards, while Anderson produced an even better attempt with a world-class strike to secure victory.

Sutton was impressed with both men: “Anderson and Snodgrass goals today for West Ham were absolutely top class. Great game of football,” he said on his personal Twitter account.

OPINION

Sutton is right to be bowled over by the two men’s goals on Saturday. Snodgrass scored a beauty himself, but Anderson’s strike was something else. Both men have really come to the fore for the Hammers this season and are now nigh on undroppable for manager Manuel Pellegrini. Their efforts on Saturday emphasise that fact, as they were vital to West Ham’s victory. Anderson, in particular, excelled in the second half and is really living up to the hype in East London. Truly, is there a more in form West Ham player than the Brazilian right now? Perhaps Declan Rice, but it’s a short list. The former Lazio man is now the club’s top scorer this term with six goals, underlining his importance to Pellegrini’s team. The mix of Snodgrass’s industry and Anderson’s sheer talent is really working wonders for the Hammers. Palace couldn’t cope with them on Saturday, that’s for sure.
