OPINION
You can totally understand why the West Ham United fans are so pleased with Robert Snodgrass’ first half display against Newcastle United on Saturday. The Scotland international looked lively throughout the opening period of the game and showed his quality in the 11th minute when he delivered a superb, pin-pint cross to Javier Hernandez to convert the opening goal of the game. The former Hull City man has quietly looked pretty good for the Hammers this season. He is not always the flashiest of players but he works incredibly hard and he has a wand of a left foot on him. His delivery into the box is a massive weapon for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and that was proven again on Saturday. Hernandez is the perfect man to whip balls in to because, despite his small stature, he regularly finds a way to get on the end of things. Snodgrass knows that and made sure he put it on the plate for the Mexican – lovely stuff.

Great delivery from Snodgrass. Should be on every set piece rather than Anderson or Noble. Such better quality
