West Ham strikers Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll are both fit and in the Hammers’ squad to face Fulham on Saturday, according to ExWHUemployee.

The respected club insider revealed on his personal Twitter account that both frontmen have overcome knocks and will likely feature against the Cottagers.

He did state that their fellow attacker Lucas Perez is unlikely to enter the fray on Saturday having suffered a foot injury against Crystal Palace last time out.

Hernandez and Perez have both been in the goals for Manuel Pellegrini’s side of late, while Carroll is on his way back from his latest major injury.

OPINION

It’s terrific news for West Ham that both Hernandez and Carroll will be fit to feature against Claudio Ranieri’s team on Saturday. With Marko Arnautovic out injured Hernandez has become the main man up top for the Hammers and he will almost certainly start against the Cottagers. The Mexican international has really come into his own recently after missing the first month or so of the season, and he is crucial to West Ham’s hopes at the moment. Carroll, too, is an important option for the Chilean to have off the bench. He provides something different and that could be vital in tight games this campaign. It’s a shame that Perez is likely to miss out because he has finally produced some decent form of late, but with Hernandez and Carroll available the Hammers should have enough to overcome Fulham. The fact that he is merely considered unlikely means that Perez’s injury isn’t anything serious, so he’ll be back in a claret and blue shirt soon.
