Simon Jordan shared that Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek would be better off joining West Ham on loan rather than Crystal Palace due to Manuel Pellegrini.

The former Palace chairman shared that he thought there was a possibility that the 22-year-old, who earns £35,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge (Source: Spotrac), wouldn’t be loaned out as he had been getting more game time recently.

However Jordan then directly said that if Loftus-Cheek was going to go out on loan than it was the Hammers in the ascendancy ahead of Palace and shared he thought due to Pellegrini it would be the better move for him.

“He had a successful season last year at Palace and it was a season that catapulted him into the England set-up,” said Jordan on talkSPORT (November 7, 11:58am).

“I just feel there’s the possibility he won’t go out on loan, he’s been getting more game time recently and scored a hat-trick against BATE Borisov and scored in the league the other day.

“So I believe he is pushing harder to get into the set-up then going out on loan but either which way, West Ham are in ascendancy as it would be a decent move for Loftus-Cheek to get game time.

“Probably of the two sides (Palace and Hammers), West Ham is probably the better move for him with Pellegrini.”

OPINION

The Daily Mirror shared that the Hammers were keen to take the impressive midfielder on loan and it would be a good move by the London club. However it’s hard to disagree with Jordan that the 22-year-old could end up staying put if he continues to get playing time. Loftus-Cheek has been handed opportunities to impress as of late and has seized them in order to make a case for himself. Therefore you cannot write off the idea that he is about to be a regular part of Blues manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans for that reason. Yet given that Loftus-Cheek would probably like to keep regularly appearing for England and add to his nine caps  then you can’t rule out him going on loan. The 22-year-old would have an easier time getting games at Palace or the Hammers then he would at Chelsea, so that may see him try and force through a temporary exit from the club.
