Michael Owen has predicted Manchester City to defeat West Ham when the Premier League teams meet at the London Stadium on Saturday.

The BT Sport pundit shared a worrying Pep Guardiola stat for the Hammers by saying that since the successful manager had taken over Man City, his side had won all of their games against the London Club.

Owen highlighted that the aggregate score across all four meetings was 13-3 in favour of Guardiola’s team and he expected Man City to get all three points from their clash against the Hammers once again.

“City have won all four PL games against West Ham under Pep Guardiola by an aggregate score of 13-3 and I expect to see the champions return home from the London Stadium with all three points,” wrote the former Liverpool in his predictions for BetVictor.

“City have conceded just five times in 12 away league games since shipping four at Anfield at the beginning of the year and it is hard to see past another win for the league leaders in a game where I expect to see a number of goals.”

OPINION

West Ham fans probably shouldn’t like the sight of Guardiola as Owen shared how much misery he has heaped upon the Hammers ever since rocking up in the Premier League. While Owen is backing a Man City win, the Hammers shouldn’t be written off by any accounts. While it’s true the current Premier League leaders are yet to taste defeat in the league this season, the Hammers do have players capable of hurting them. The only issue is Manuel Pellegrini knows that everyone of his players needs to be at the best for his side to have a chance of making sure his former club don’t get three points from Saturday’s clash. The experienced boss would no doubt love to get one over Man City but he must be aware it’s a hard task. However the Hammers did sweep aside Manchester United with ease earlier in the season and a similar performance would see the London Stadium erupt with glee.
