Stan Collymore had predicted West Ham to defeat Huddersfield Town 2-1 when they meet in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Hammers are set to travel to the John Smith’s Stadium in order to face the Terriers and the outspoken pundit shared via his verified Twitter account that he expects it to be a happy trip for the London club.

If Collymore’s prediction for the Hammers’ game is right, it will be the first time that the London club have secured back-to-back victories since January 2017.

OPINION

Huddersfield Town lost to the Hammers home and away last season in the league so it would be nice to see Collymore be right with his prediction. However given that the Terriers will be feeling confident after picking up their first win against Fulham on Monday just gone, it won’t be the easiest of tasks. Manuel Pellegrini’s side will need to be at their best to rack up a win on Saturday, just like they had to be firing on all cylinders against Burnely last weekend. The Hammers boss watched his side dominate the game but still somehow managed to throw their win in doubt during periods of that match. The London club were pegged back twice by Burnley despite looking comfortable and it was a relief when the Hammers were actually able to secure a two-goal advantage in that outing. A victory for the Hammers on Saturday wouldn’t fire them up the table particularly but it would be a very good result considering another international break is upon us.
