London Stadium would erupt if West Ham snatched Edin Dzeko from AS Roma’s clutches as the proven goalscorer would be able to fire Manuel Pellegrini’s side to glory.

Hammers supporters are no doubt very familiar with the 32-year-old forward’s ability as he spent many seasons lighting up the Premier League with Manchester City.

Dzeko, even worked with current Hammers boss Pellegrini during that time, and managed to score 50 goals, while creating 24, in 130 appearances in England’s top-flight.

The London club are in need of a lethal finisher to aid Marko Arnautovic in getting the Hammers’ goals this season as other striking options Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio and Javier Hernandez have all have proven previously that they can’t be relied upon.

Dzeko is the perfect forward for the Hammers to snap up as not only does he know the Premier League well, but following his remarks on the division it’s clear he’d be open to returning to the league.

“Regarding the Premier League, maybe it’s too late,” the forward said on Sky Sports News as quoted by the broadcaster’s website.

“You never know, I had four-and-a-half great years there, and had fun every minute of every game. I love the Premier League and England, so we’ll see. At the moment I’m happy in Rome.”

The Hammers must use these comments as motivation to pursue the goal machine in January even though he admits he is happy at AS Roma currently.

Dzeko would be able to make an instant splash at the club due to his knowledge of the Premier League, but also because he is in prolific form this season after scoring five goals in his first nine outings of the season.

Therefore the Hammers must pursue the forward in January after his remarks about the Premier League, as the London Stadium would erupt upon his arrival due to his ability and because supporters would no doubt be aware that he is a player capable of taking the club to the next level.
