West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini is no doubt in search of the team’s next win, but there will be one other thing playing on his mind too.

His midfield is looking rather depleted with Carlos Sanchez sidelined and Jack Wilshere not ready for another two weeks – and Pedro Obiang did not feature against Tottenham either.

Many fans will be calling for Pellegrini to look to the under-23s for a solution to their midfield woes – and even though Moses Makasi thoroughly deserves a chance after impressing for the youth side, his inexperience cannot just be brushed aside.

The in-form star was quoted by Football London as saying that he is open to a loan move if first team opportunities do not fall for him soon, and to be honest, this is the best bet for both Makasi and the club right now.

The Hammers need an immediate solution to the problems in the middle of the park, but Makasi cannot provide that just yet – but moving away temporarily will give him the first team experience needed to be a sensation.

Yes, he has been impressing thoroughly for the under-23s, but if he goes out on loan and returns as a much better player, Pellegrini will be the one heeding the benefits.

Integrating young players into the first team fold is a fantastic way of saving money on transfers, and there is no doubting that Makasi will be the exact type of player that is needed to ensure the midfield is at the top of their level.

He has the attributes to thrive in the first team – and once he has the experience, Pellegrini would be mad not to hand him a start.

Pellegrini needs to listen to Makasi and give him the loan move that will transform him into a West Ham sensation.
