Stan Collymore has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will inflict a second consecutive defeat on West Ham United when the two sides meet this weekend.

Spurs travel to the London Stadium on Saturday and Collymore reckons that the Lilywhites will take away all three points from this derby fixture with a 2-1 victory, subjecting the Irons to another loss after Brighton sealed a 1-0 result over them before the international break.

The Hammers have a good record against the North London outfit – they have won three of their last six games against Mauricio Pochettino’s side – but Collymore has made it clear that this will come to an end via his personal Twitter account.

OPINION

West Ham fans will no doubt hate the prediction that Collymore has delivered here. However, given the Hammers’ recent form, it would be hard to separate the two sides. Tottenham have had a mixed season so far, so it would be unfair to predict a defeat for West Ham here. A draw seems like the most probable result, and Irons’ supporters will no doubt have their fingers crossed that they can return to winning ways this weekend. The defeat to Brighton has somwhat interrupted their good run, and it is paramount that they find their feet again when they face Spurs. This will be a difficult task, as Tottenham are full of quality players – but then again, the Hammers have quality too. It remains to be seen who will be the better team here, but as Collymore predicted, it would not be surprising to see Spurs edge it.
