Robbie Savage has predicted Chelsea to defeat West Ham 2-1 when the pair face off at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The BT Sports pundit boasted about his track record of predicting the correct results this season in the Premier League and claimed he got seven out of ten results right last weekend.

Savage got this predictions off to a good start this weekend when revealing what the Hammers’ result would be on Sunday as he correctly stated that Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off between Fulham and Watford would end as a 1-1 draw which it did.

“I got seven out of 10 correct predictions last week, with the exact scoreline in five of them,” wrote Savage in his column for the Daily Mirror.

“With the crystal ball running nicely into form, here are this week’s Premier League forecasts for all soothsayers out there.

“West Ham 1-2 Chelsea.”

OPINION

While Savage may boast that his crystal ball has started the season in good form, hopefully for the sake of the Hammers, he’s got their result wrong. While Manuel Pellegrini’s side do go into the match with Chelsea on Sunday as the underdogs, they will still be hoping to achieve a positive result. The Hammers got their first points on the board last weekend when they beat Everton and will be eager to get at least one point from the match with their London rivals. The only positive about Savage’s prediction from a Hammers perspective, is that he isn’t expecting them to be torn apart based on the narrow scoreline he has stated. This means that while it will be disheartening to lose yet another league game, at least it won’t be the worst day at the office as a 2-1 result would show that the Hammers at least put some fight when facing a difficult challenge.
