Stan Collymore claimed that Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard could only wish to be West Ham attacker Marko Arnautovic in his dreams.

The outspoken pundit was asked via his personal Twitter account whether Chelsea star had been the best player in the Premier League so far and responded by naming dropping the Hammers’ 29-year-old forward.

Collymore claimed that Hazard, who earns £200,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge (Source: Spotrac), allegedly could only wish to be Arnautovic in his dreams before highlighting how the Hammers player showed his commitment to his club by helping them defensively.

OPINION

It’s unclear who Collymore is taking a sly dig at the most, whether is Hazard or Arnautovic. The pundit previously wrote about the West Ham attacker in his column for the Daily Mirror and slammed him for not being a grafter. However in this tweet Collymore praises the attacker for running back and aiding his side’s cause in order to imply that he is committed to the Hammers, while suggesting Hazard doesn’t show the desire for Chelsea. It’s quite possible that Collymore is just using Arnautovic’s name to highlight how little effort and commitment the Belgian playmaker puts in and shows for Chelsea in his opinion. Yet while he made have made this bizarre comment for all the wrong reasons, Hammers supporters will lap up the fact that he actually said something nice about one of their players as his not often seen waving the West Ham flag. Then again supporters of the Blues will no doubt be taking to their Twitter account in order to argue how wrong the pundit is.
