West Ham will not be letting any more first-team players leave the club, according to Football.London.

The football outlet claim that even though other countries’ transfer windows are still open and that players can still go out on loan, it is believed that no more members of the Hammers’ first-squad will depart.

Football.London report that this is the case even though defender Reece Oxford has been heavily rumoured to exit.

OPINION

It seems that the Hammers are not  looking to lighten their squad or their wage bill any further and it’s easy to believe this update. However given the level of interest in Oxford and whether he is even considered a first-team player at this point, he could still go. The centre-back, according to Claret & Hugh, has already seen his talents attract Championship outfit Bolton into making an offer to take him on loan by being willing to pay £15,000-a-week of his £20,000-a-week wages and that would be a good move for the young talent. However given that Oxford seemed to enjoy his spell in Germany last season then perhaps he is trying to hold out until a Bundesliga side officially make an approach for him. As according to Claret & Hugh RB Leipzig did witness him play for the Hammers’ U-23s recently and that would be a potentially huge career move for him compared to having a loan spell at the Trotters.
