Ian Abrahams shared that while he thought Ryan Fredericks, Jack Wilshere and Lukasz Fabianski were all brilliant signings this summer for West Ham, he wasn’t sure about the others.
The broadcaster, who regularly reports and commentates on games for talkSPORT, replied to a fan on Twitter who claimed that the Hammers had bought too many players who lacked Premier League experience.
Fabianski, Fredericks and Wilshere were brilliant additions, too many foreign buys alongside them

Abrahams, who is a known Hammers supporter, tweeted back in response to cast doubt over a lot of the Hammers’ new recruits by claiming that the club had made too many foreign buys.
OPINION
It’s interesting that the talkSPORT reporter is ready to endorse the signing of Fredericks when the speedy right-back was completely dropped from the Hammers squad for the game against Bournemouth on Saturday. The 25-year-old had a nightmare on his Premier League debut for his new side against Liverpool last weekend and clearly Manuel Pellegrini is already questioning whether he has what it takes. Given that Fredericks had never featured in England’s top-flight ahead of the Hammers’ 4-0 defeat to Reds, he is not a known quantity in the Premier League either. The Hammers made several signings this summer which included welcoming Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko and Issa Diop to the club but clearly the talkSPORT presenter would have preferred for his side to recruit players from within the Premier League. It’s still early days this season and these new recruits could soon be impressing everyone if given time to properly settle in at the London Stadium in order to gel with their new teammates.
