Brazilian winger Bernard is considering a move to West Ham with the club keen to sign him, according to a reliable club insider.
ExWHUemployee shared via their personal Twitter account that the 5ft 4in tall pacey winger (Transfermarkt) now viewed the Hammers as an option as he hadn’t received the big money offers he had expected following his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk expiring earlier in the summer.
So I’ve just spoke to two good sources and it appears we do fancy Bernard again. He hasn’t had the big money offers he had expected and is now considering a move here and would be the “back up” forward and “bargain” that I said we were looking for! Massive move if it works ⚒

Lee Clayton of the Daily Mail reported, via his Twitter account, earlier on Friday that the Hammers were growing increasingly confident that they could sign Bernard on a free transfer.
West Ham growing increasingly confident of signing Bernard, Brazilian international and another attacking wide player. I think that's known as going for it.
OPINION
It seems the Hammers could be about to see their attacking options at the club boosted even further by the arrival of Bernard. The pocket rocket winger has blistering pace and could be a sensation in the Premier League. Given that he is available on a free transfer after his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk expired then Manuel Pellegrini might be about to make a bargain signing. Bernard has previously proven his talents in Ukraine and Brazil’s top division as well as the Champions League so he would make very exciting new recruit. The 25-year-old can be deployed as a winger on either flank and is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder if required. This means his arrival would see the Hammers have plenty of cover, especially on the flanks, in case the club get dealt a bad hand in terms of injuries next season. However Bernard clearly isn’t just being brought into provide depth in numbers as a player of his talent will expect to feature regularly.
